Common Questions & Answers
1. What incentive programs are available from Georgia Power?
Georgia Power offers two programs for business customers. They have a Make Ready Program that will design and install the electrical infrastructure for your new EV chargers and a charger rebate program.
2. How does the make ready program work?
You determine the type and quantity of chargers you would like to install. Georgia Power will work with you to design and install the electrical service and equipment to power the chargers at no cost to you. You do have to install a minimum of 6 Level 2 chargers or 1 DC charger and they must be open to public use.
3. How does the rebate program work?
Georgia Power will provide a cash rebate based on the chargers you install. Level 2 chargers are eligible for $250 per Kw rating and DC chargers are eligible for $150 per kW rating. The total rebate is capped at 50% of the cost with a maximum of $30,000 per year.
4. What is I am not a Georgia Power customer?
The incentives we are talking about only apply to Georgia Power service areas. Many other power companies offer incentives so check with our team for a free incentive check.
5. Do I have to spend money upfront?
That depends on the program you choose. Under the make ready program there is no cost to the property for the electrical upgrades. However, to qualify for the rebates you do have to pay for the chargers and installation and submit proof of payment to get your rebate. You must also get pre-approved before investing in your EV chargers.
6. How do I know what is the right charging solution for my property?

7. Are the incentives hard to qualify for?
No! The process does require an application and some paper work but they are not difficult to qualify for if you meet the basic requirements outlined for each program. Our team can support you and handle the applications for you as well.
